Elysium EPL is proud to have been, once again, recognised under the Australian Government’s Veteran Employment Program.
Since its establishment in 2017, Elysium EPL has been a proud veteran employer. It’s not surprising when you look at the numbers – founded by four veterans, the team has grown to over 80 team members around Australia: more than half of those are former Australian Defence Force (ADF) members or partners of ADF members.
“As a business that has significant involvement in the Defence sector, veterans are key to our success,” said Jamie Waddington, Elysium EPL’s Chief Operating Officer (and veteran).
“We have always looked for team members with Defence experience, and value the knowledge and unique experience former ADF members bring.”
Elysium EPL has been recognised under the Veteran Employment Program since 2019 and has reaffirmed its commitment as part of the program’s refresh earlier this year. The organisation has signed the updated Veteran Employee Commitment as a Veteran Employment Supporter, which recognises the practical ways employers support veterans in their transition to civilian careers. This includes demonstrating a commitment to hiring veterans, as well as being listed publicly as a preferred veteran employer.
As well as providing a list of veteran-friendly employers, the VEC recognises organisations for their current workplace policies and practices that support veteran employment. It offers guidance to implement or enhance veteran employment initiatives, aiding in better recruitment and retention of veteran employees.
“Elysium EPL is proud to be a Veteran Employment Supporter because our values of Ethos, Pathos, Logos align with the VEC’s focus on supporting and getting the most from our former servicepeople who have served Australia,” Jamie said
“We are here to support veterans and build trust in our professional dealings with our veteran employees.”
